Can you help track native owls?
Wildlife scientists are asking people to help them track Australian Owls, by recording the sounds of the birds in the bush.
The ‘Hoot Detective’ project is aiming to help researchers map native species and provide important information about the location and numbers of the birds of prey.
Birdlife Australia’s Doctor Beth Mott spoke to Luke Grant about the project.
She says the predators control different levels of the food chain, so it’s important to protect them.
