It is rare that politicians are universally admired and lauded for the work they do.

One of the few exceptions was Brisbane Lord Mayor Clem Jones who oversaw the development of Queensland capital for 15 years.

He has now been immortalised with a lifesize bronze statue in the heart of the city and sculptor Phillip Piperides tells Mark it was a very collaborative project.
