Conflict skills changed Hollywood heartthrob’s life

Bill Woods

Film star Ryan Reynolds, known for being one of Hollywood’s nice guys, said this week that learning conflict resolution skills had literally changed his life.

Bill Woods speaks with Lisanne Iriks, Mediation & Conflict expert, who says she’s not surprised by Reynolds claims.

“When you have good conflict resolution skills you can relate to anyone, you have empathy for other people and you’re confident to have difficult conversations to resolve conflict quickly,” she said.

“It’s exciting to see someone as well-known as Ryan Reynolds acknowledge it as an important life skill and attribute it to his success.”

Lisanne said that conflict resolution skills teach you how to listen and understand issues in your life, minus the drama.

“You can’t address issues unless you can understand them from the other person’s perspective,” she said.

“This ultimately leads to more connection and happiness in your relationships.”
