On 60 Minutes in May 2017, we heard the story of Lyndal who, as a 12-year-old student was sexually abused for ten months while she was a boarder at Toowoomba Prep; one of the Anglican Church’s elite private schools in Qld.

Distraught, Lyndal and her parents’ attempts to get the help she so desperately needed were ignored both by the school and the church. Approaches to the then Anglican Archbishop, Peter Hollingworth, were ignored.

Today’s Crime File is the story behind these and other events that brought about the downfall of Archbishop Peter Hollingworth who went on to become our Governor General.
