“Cut and dry”: Graham Annesley reflects on NRL rule changes for 2025

Peter Psaltis

The NRL pre-season trials kick off this Friday, and this year there will be stricter rules.

NRL Head Of Football Graham Annesley told Peter Psaltis on Wide World of Sports, “We had a great season last year, and the game’s in such good shape, and all the indicators are so healthy, crowds, TV ratings, and revenue, there’s not much point in changing something that doesn’t appear to be broken. ”

“We’ve just announced some slight tweaks to interpretations and, as you mentioned, an experimental rule that will apply only in the pre-season challenge. And we’ll have a look and see how that goes,” Mr Annesley continued.
