Drones to star in Shark Management Strategy
2020 has been a tragic year for shark attacks. So far this year there have already been five fatalities from shark bites, and presumably these numbers will rise as more people start to swim in warmer temperatures.
So what can we do to lower these numbers? Well, drones could be the answer.
Groundbreaking research from South Cross University could allow drones to fly above water and detect sharks below.
Andrew Colefax, postdoctoral research fellow at Southern Cross University, joins John Stanley with insights on artificial intelligence and its applications for keeping us safe in the water.
