The NRL pre-season challenge is just over two weeks away and one team that will be looking to start the year with a bang is the Brisbane Broncos.

Broncos and Maroons legend Darren Lockyer told Peter Fegan on 4BC Breakfast, “Madge [Michael Maguire] won an NRL premiership, he obviously was successful at Origin last year and he coached the Kiwis to beat the Australian team recently so I think he comes to Brisbane with a sense of confidence that he can make the improvements that are needed and and be successful.”

“It’s just now the proof will be in the pudding,” Darren Lockyer said.
