FULL SHOW: 4BC Weekend Breakfast with Olympia Kwitowski, Sunday 17th November 2024
On the show today: Olympia is back and covering the day’s headlines, including new research showing less than half of Australians wouldn’t know what to do if they were lost in the bush, with only 41% of Aussies are prepared to survive in an emergency. We hear your thoughts on this.
Gardening is back for another week, with Paul Plant filling in for Arno King who is still in China. Paul and Olympia discuss how introducing silver into your garden can be a great contrast against the green, and we hear some native and non-native options that you can try.
We get stuck into your questions, including taking apart hippeastrum bulbs, splitting an Anthurium, lawn fertiliser recommendations, and how to accelerate compost with a surprise compost song from Olympia!
PLUS Paul shares his second plant of the week – the mistletoe cactus! A plant that is easy to propagate with edible berries.
In the second hour, who remembers Round The Twist? The iconic Aussie TV show has been turned into a brand-new musical – bringing to life the unforgettable characters and off-the-wall capers of the hit 90s TV show. We hear from one of the brains behind the musical, Paul Hodge, who tells us more ahead of its run at QPAC’s Playhouse from December 8th.
We also take a look at improving our health, in particular – our lymphatic health. Chelsey Jean is a sports therapist, naturopath and the creator of ‘CHELSEY JEAN Lymphatics’. She joins Olympia to explain more about lymphatic drainage and maintaining the overall health of this important system.
PLUS: our Hayman Island giveaway comes to its grand finale, as we pick a winner of this incredible three-night stay for two at the breathtaking InterContinental Hayman Great Barrier Reef.
