Acting Assistant Police Commissioner Andrew Massingham joins for a weekly update on the latest local crime issues and statistics. AAC Massingham provides us with an update on the record number of police shootings this week; as well as an update on Taskforce Guardian.
Aspire Retire Financial Services co-founder Olivia Maragna joins for Money Talks. Olivia tells us more about ASFA calling for $750 million of the revenue generated to be ring-fenced to increase the LISTO (Low Income Super Tax offset) threshold and what Gen Y is doing to curb the increasing amount of young Aussies being affected by the housing crisis and financial instability.
For our Local Issues segment: business owner Tudor Vasile calls in to talk about the loss of revenue experienced by Moggill Road businesses due to the incessant roadworks around the area. Tudor talks about noise issues and if he expects compensation from the government or council. We then hear a response from Councillor for Enoggera Ward and Chair for Brisbane City Council’s Infrastructure Committee Andrew Wines. Feegs also brings in Member for Miller Mark Bailey to quickly discuss the September closure of the Walter Taylor Bridge in Indooroopilly and he provides his own appraisal of Council and Andrew Wines.
