FULL SHOW: Weekends with Peter Fegan – Sunday, 28th July 2024
On the show: Feegs is back and celebrating a golden Aussie start to the Olympic Games. With Gold medals for our incredible women in the 4x 100m Swim Relay, Road Cycling and the 400m Swim; we recap the day’s action.
Olympics and Commonwealth Games swimming champion Grant Hackett joins Feegs, in between his duties with Stan Sports, to break down our progress so far. Grant talks about our incredible Gold wins, and other medals we’ve picked up on the first day of the 33rd Olympiad.
Elsewhere on the show, it’s been a big week politically. For the Sunday Breakdown, Feegs is joined by Australian TV/Radio presenter, reporter, social commentator, and public relations director Prue MacSween. From Brittany Higgin’s selling up her French home to pay her legal bills; to a recent online spat between Prue and Higgin’s partner – David Sharaz; and the current performance of the Government in light of recent polling numbers suggesting that the Coalition has pulled ahead of Labor. Prue gives her insights into the big issues.
In Local issues today, we hear from Cindy Micallef. Cindy is the daughter of Vyleen White, who was allegedly stabbed to death in a car park in Redbank Plains earlier this year. Cindy tells Peter about the youth crime forum hosted at the Centenary Tavern yesterday, and whether Minister for Child Safety, Youth and Women, Di Farmer, was in attendance.
PLUS: 4BC Sports Report Sam Leckie makes a return to provide an extensive update on the weekend action, and we look ahead to the coming week with your long-range weather forecast.
