Luke is joined by Robert Parker, former president of the Australian Nuclear Association & Founder of Nuclear For Climate Australia, who says the energy solution using nuclear energy has been out there for 50 years.

Mr Parker has been to Ontario in Canada and says we have the proof that nuclear works because in Ontario they sell nuclear electricity to mums and dads for half what we buy it for in Australia.

“They have effectively decarbonised their electricity sector which uses 60% nuclear energy and has emissions of only 29 gr CO2/kWh with Australia at 715 or 25 times higher.”

He says Chris Bowen and Anthony Albanese don’t want nuclear energy. They make up claims like it being too expensive when nations around the world like Sweden, USA, South Korea and China produce electricity at prices lower than Australia’s and they use nuclear at varying levels.
