‘Health is a victim of Labor’: Coalition commits to lowering cost of PBS medications
The Coalition has matched Labor’s commitment to lowering the price of medications on the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme to $25.
Shadow Health Minister Anne Ruston says the cost-of-living measure is necessary with the cost of healthcare through the roof.
“We know that last year eight per cent of Australians said they didn’t fill a script because they couldn’t afford to do so,” she told Gary Hardgrave.
She added that 1.5 million Australians didn’t see a doctor last year.
“They said they couldn’t afford to do so, health is just another victim of Labor’s living crisis,” she said.
