Global law enforcement agencies, including the AFP, have broken up one of the most lucrative spoofing operations ever, which is estimated to have made scammers over AUD$90 million in the UK alone.

In this scam, fraudsters first buy victims’ bank details on the dark web to make their approach more convincing, then use a website called iSpoof to make a fake bank phone call to clear out their accounts.

Bill Woods is joined by Ches Rafferty, Cyber Security Expert, CEO of Scantek Solutions, who says as scammers become more sophisticated, consumers need to have their wits about them.

Mr Rafferty reveals some of the tell-tale signs of a spoofing call or text, and outlines how you can protect yourself with some simple tips.
