Independent review into a rural hospital in the New South Wales north-west

Rural News

The reduced operational hours of a rural New South Wales hospital will be subject to an independent review — after locals raised the alarm about dwindling access to services.

The hospital in Wee Waa in the states North-West only operates between eight am and five-thirty pm, with those needing emergency care forced to travel up to 40 kilometers to nearest emergency department.

Rural Reporter Katie Fuller caught up with Barwon M-P Roy Butler to discuss reduced operating hours at Wee Waa hospital.
