‘It flattened the entire city’: Eyewitnesses remember Cyclone Tracy 50 years on

It has been 50 years since Cyclone Tracy blew threw Darwin on Christmas Day in 1974.

Sky News Journalist Matt Cunningham told Peter Fegan on 4BC Breakfast, ‘at the time it was the smallest cyclone that had ever been recorded, but it made a direct hit on Darwin and it packed such a mighty punch that it flatten the entire city.’
