US President Donald Trump declared yesterday that America will take ownership of Gaza and turn the Palestinian territory into a new “Riviera”.

Trump and co. are now bracing for broad opposition to the plan which has already started to flow.

The founder of Strategic Analysis Australia Michael Shoebridge told Bill McDonald on 4BC Mornings, “There are some fundamental reasons why it won’t happen.”

“The first big problem is that his idea involves getting 2 million Palestinians living in Gaza to think it’s a great idea to leave when they’ve been fighting and dying for generations over that land,” Shoebridge continued.
