John Francis “Jack” O’Hagan OBE (29 November 1898 – 15 July 1987) was a prolific Australian singer-songwriter and radio personality who wrote hit after hit. His creations were the most popular and most played songs on radio in Australia throughout the 1920s, 1930s and 1940s.
Today few people could tell you who wrote the most popular song of them all, the Australian classic, Along the Road To Gundagai, let alone all the other hits that poured from Jack’s pen and piano over his long career including the famous “Our Don Bradman” during a test in England.
