“Just wrong”: Youth crime victim reacts to perpetrator’s charge

Gary Hardgrave

In 2023, Chris Sanders was a victim of youth crime, after he was attacked by teens at the Alexandra Hills Shopping Centre.

Today, the perpetrator was sentenced.

For the most serious offense, he was charged with a 3-month conditional release program, with conditions including regular reporting to his local youth centre. For the two other offences, he was sentenced to 15 months of probation.

Mr Sanders told Gary Hardgrave on 4BC Drive, “He showed no remorse. I was a centimetre and a half off of death, and they want to downgrade everything all the time. It’s just wrong.”
