Local Issues – Fire Ant eradication continued with Invasive Species Council Advocacy Manager Reece Pianta

In Local issues today: we continue the conversation around the Fire Ant eradication programs that are causing issues within SEQLD communities. Reece Pianta is the advocacy manager from the Invasive Species Council, a body formed in 2002 to “seek stronger laws, policies and programs to protect nature from harmful pests, weeds and diseases”. Reece discusses the eradication program in its current form, the specific materials and baits used to treat fire ants and handling community concerns.
