A Sunshine Coast beekeeper has been confronted by, what’s he’s called, a monster hive after being called out to help a homeowner in Nambour.

He found a hive in the roof of the woman’s house containing 50,000 insects and a huge amount of honeycomb and honey.

Scott Whitaker from Hinterland Bees tells Mark it took him 12 grueling hours to safely remove the insects.
