Greste is portrayed by award-winning Australian actor, producer, and director Richard Roxburgh in the gripping thriller about journalism caught in the crosshairs of political conflict.

The stellar pairing joined Sofie Formica on 4BC Afternoons to preview the film before it hits cinemas this week.

Richard Roxburgh told Sofie Formica, “The film is not a polemic, it’s not a lesson in anything in particular. Above anything else It’s an extraordinary drama, but it is something that happened to an Australian citizen, a respected Australian journalist, just doing his job.

“So to be dragged off the streets, charged in the way that he was and imprisoned, is such a kind of bizarre thing that actually happened.”
