New prostate cancer treatment to cut collateral tissue damage
1 in 5 Australian men are likely to receive a diagnosis of prostate cancer before they are 85, so treatment for prostate cancer is clearly something that will impact someone that we know or love.
Treatment for prostate cancer can involve surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation therapy.
So any advances in technology that improve the accuracy and side effects of treatments can be critical.
A good example is the March installation of new radiation equipment at the Icon Cancer Centre onsite at the Sydney Adventist Hospital Integrated Cancer Centre, consistently voted by patients as amongst the best outpatient cancer services in NSW since 2016.
