Next generation Tesla model 3 sedan around the corner
The mid-sized Tesla Model 3 sedan quickly became our top-selling electric
vehicles following its launch here in 2019 however a number of more affordable
Chinese built electric EV’s have been stealing its mantle this year. Tesla are
expected to respond soon with the Model 3’s first update with upgrades to
styling, interior, infotainment and battery power plus the possibility of a more
affordable entry model. The Model 3 sedan has also been somewhat
overshadowed this year by Tesla’s Model Y SUV that quickly became out top-
selling medium-sized SUV following its arrival in mid 2022. The Tesla Model Y
was our fourth best-selling vehicle in July with 3330 sales. Tesla is now our eighth
best selling brand with July YTD sales of 29,511 giving it a market share of 4.3 per
cent jumping ahead of both Subaru and Volkswagen. I’m David Berthon
