No smoking gun in politician property portfolio story

Phil O'Neil

Phil chats with property marketing expert David Kaity about the recent media focus on politicians’ property portfolios. While the story may have been sparked by the upcoming election — or possibly used as a tactic to frustrate younger, property-less voters — it hasn’t revealed anything scandalous.

There’s no evidence of secret property hoarding by top politicians, including the prime minister and opposition leader. The only eyebrow-raiser? Bottom line: politicians have the same right as anyone else to own property.
