Peter Fegan

The Albanese Government has pledged to spend $8.5 billion over four years to commit to universal bulk-billing, which is expected to make nine out of 10 GP visits free by 2030.

The Prime Minister has said, “I want every Australian to know they only need their Medicare card, not their credit card, to receive the healthcare they need.”

Federal Age Care Minister Anika Wells told Peter Fegan on 4BC Breakfast, “The Labor Government answer is that we provisioned the vast majority of this money back in the mid-year economic update.”

“Labor has invested record billions in health this term, that’s because that’s what Labor governments do,” Anika Wells said.
