Police refuse to rule out new curfew in Alice Springs

Luke Grant

Alice Springs is in the midst of yet another crime wave, with police refusing to rule out implementing another curfew, like the one introduced earlier in the year.

It follows a horror week of crime which saw a fight taking place in broad daylight, allegedly involving spears.

And dozens of domestic violence incidents, four burglaries and a car theft, all taking place in a 24 hour window.

Luke Grant chats with Alice Springs Mayor Matt Patterson to find out if another curfew is required to address the violence, and if the new Northern Territory Government has done anything to improve the situation.
