Qld definition of murder to be broadened
The state government will introduce new legislation this week to expand the definition of murder to include not just intent by reckless indifference to human life.
There will also be stiffer sentences for those found guilty of the manslaughter of child and for not supplying a child with the necessities of life.
The Queensland Homicide Victims Support Group has input on the changes and General Manager Brett Thompson tells Mark they will bring Queensland into line with other states.
