Queensland Government considers recommendations to improve child protection system
The Child Death Review Board 2023-24 Annual Report made nine recommendations to improve Queensland’s child protection system.
Minister for Families, Seniors, Disability Services, Child Safety, and the Prevention of Domestic and Family Violence, Amanda Camm, told Sofie Formica on 4BC Afternoons, “Part of the recommendations that have been outlined, do align with the government’s new agenda and the 100-day plan that we’ve just, finalised.”
“We need to lower the number of children that are entering our system, we need to be working with families, we need to be ensuring that across multiple government agencies that we are working collectively to ensure that we’re protecting children.”
“It is the entire responsibility of not just government, but of our community to ensure children are protected,” Minister Camm continued.
