Rebranding or establishing: Mark Butler quizzed over ‘new’ mental health centres
The Federal Government has continued its health splurge, injecting a further one billion dollars into mental health services, on top of Albanese’s $8 billion Medicare promise.
Federal Health Minister Mark Butler told Peter Fegan on 4BC Breakfast, “We’re using the well-trusted Medicare brand, telling people essentially, this is free of charge.”
“You don’t have to bring a credit card, because a lot of these people are on very low incomes, usually fixed incomes.”
“This has meant we’re actually getting to the people we need.”
“It was well worth the money, in my view,” Mr. Butler said.
