Moreton Island is the only known location in southeast Queensland that is cane toad free and efforts are being ramped up to keep it that way.

The Tangalooma Island Resort Eco Centre has welcomed a new recruit – Reggie the Cane Toad Detection Dog.

Reggie’s trainer Steve Austin from Canine Training & Behaviour tells Mark the English Springer Spaniel traveled back and forth across the country to learn his cane toad detection skills.
