Replace dangerous airbags or risk your rego
More than 2,500 cars in Queensland are still driving around fitted with airbags that could kill.
These are the worst of the notorious Takata airbags known as the Alpha.
The ACCC is about to provide the Transport Department with a list of cars yet to have the airbags replaced and those that don’t take action could have their registrations cancelled.
The RACQ’s Head of Technical and Safety Policy Steve Spalding tells Mark the organisation completely supports the move because lives are at risk.
