Real Estate Institute of Queensland CEO Antonia Mercorella told Luke Bradnam on 4BC Breakfast, “Australia has an ageing population, but there are a range of complicated financial, economic and very personal reasons why people find it very difficult to downsize or right-size, which is perhaps the less negative term to use.”
“The other thing is… these are probably people who have bought many decades ago, paid a certain price, have worked hard to pay it off,” Mrs Mercorella continued.
