Researchers crack to cane toad’s genetic code
An Australian led team of international researchers has decoded the DNA of the cane toad.
It required huge computing power to sequence and assemble the 360 billion base pairs that make up the genome.
Cane toad expert from Sydney University Emeritus Professor Rick Shine tells Mark that now we have the cane toad instruction book we can look at new ways to combat the pest.
