RSPCA calls for humane killing of cane toads
A federal parliamentary committee is currently holding hearings and taking submissions looking into ways of tackling the scourge of the cane toad.
Since its introduction in 1935 the amphibian now occupies an area of more than 1.2 million square kilometres from Queensland to WA.
The RSPCA has lodged a submission to the inquiry and senior scientist Dr Di Evans tells Mark that while they are a pest that’s no excuse for not disposing of the animal humanely.
