Scammers target desperate buyers for sold-out concert tickets
Fans eager to attend sold-out concerts, like Coldplay’s world tour, are being warned about ticket scams on social media and online marketplaces.
With major acts performing soon, NAB reports that $160,000 in payments linked to potential ticket scams were abandoned by its customers in the past three months.
The average abandoned payment is $1,700, with more women than men heeding payment alerts for unusual transactions introduced by NAB in March 2023.
