Shocking ignorance among Aussies about superannuation returns

Clinton Maynard

Clinton is joined by Katrina McPhee, Chief of Staff at Aware Super, to discuss new research revealing that most Australians have little to no understanding of their current superannuation fund.

With the majority (81%) of Australians recalibrating their investments due to the cost-of-living crisis, the importance of effective financial planning is clear, with superannuation playing a pivotal role in securing future financial wellbeing.

However, Aussies are still in the dark about their super funds, with two in five (43%) Aussies not really understanding how their super is invested, and a third (31%) hardly thinking about how their fun is performing.

After delivering an impressive 11.02% for their most popular investment option, High Growth, last year, Aware Super is encouraging everyone to explore their super performance and the diverse options available to select the best fund for their needs.
