Queensland’s mandatory helmet laws were first introduced in 1993 and since then, bike helmets have decreased the severity of head injuries by 70 per cent.

The ‘Freestyle Cyclists’ group are riding helmet free to highlight the importance of cycling as a healthy and sustainable form of transport.
