Details have emerged of a new small Lexus SUV due in the first half of the year.
With a choice of front and all-wheel drive the small Lexus LBX crossover will
share the same platform as Toyota’s popular Toyota Yaris Cross and will come
with the option of two power trains. Lexus confirms the LBX will come in Luxury
and Sports Luxury grades powered by a 1.5-litre three-cylinder hybrid powertrain
with 100kW of power – the luxury grade in front-drive only, the Sports Luxury in
all-wheel drive gaining a rear-mounted electric motor. The LBX Luxury grade
specification includes faux leather sports front seats with power and memory, a
power tailgate, 360-degree camera, and 18-inch alloy wheels while the Sport
Luxury LBX gains faux suede accentuated seats, a self-parking feature, active
noise control and a larger premium 13-speaker Mark Levinson sound system
