State government to increase fines next financial year

Queensland’s state government fines will increase by 3.5% in the next financial year.

The government is expected to raise $912 million by 2025-26, while over $110 million in 100,000 unpaid mobile phone fines alone are outstanding.

Director of State Penalties Enforcement Registry Kim Easton joined Sofie Formica on 4BC Afternoons to discuss how the government enforces fines.
