Study finds social media can become addictive
While many people spend far too much time attached to their devices scanning social media for some it becomes a very real addiction.
A world first study conducted by researchers in Australia and the United States has found extreme social media users have much in common with drug addicts and problem gamblers.
Study co-author Professor Antonio Verdejo-Garcia from the Monash Institute of Cognitive and Clinical Neurosciences tells Mark social media addiction can lead to poor decision-making skills and volatile withdrawal symptoms.
