The alarming link between loneliness and men’s health

Mike Jeffreys

Mike speaks with Warren Davies, Community Mental Health Recovery Expert and ‘The Unbreakable Farmer,’ about the critical connection between loneliness and men’s health.

Recent findings from men’s health organisation Healthy Male reveal that loneliness poses serious health risks—equivalent to smoking 15 cigarettes a day—and increases the risk of early death by 26%, surpassing even obesity.

With men accounting for 75% of suicides in Australia, the lack of close-knit support networks is a major concern. Many struggle to name even five people they could turn to in a crisis.

Warren highlights the silent toll loneliness takes and urges men to prioritize building stronger social connections.
