The statistic prove cricket really is a girl’s game
Young women and girls are flocking to play cricket according the results of the annual national census conducted by Cricket Australia.
It found that 30% of cricket’s participant base is now female and that 3 in every 5 new participants in the game are girls.
One club leading the way is Brisbane North Juniors and Robert Bailey from the club tells Mark that in just two years they have developed the largest club based girls cricket competition in Australia.
