Transport union demands change after fifth death in two months
A fifth delivery driver has died in two months following a truck crash in central Sydney.
The recent rise in deaths has angered and upset the Transport Workers Union who are fed up with the lack of change from the government.
TWU National Secretary Michael Kaine says delivery riders need to be treated like every other worker saying the Industrial Relations Minister Christian Porter needs to do his part.
“(He needs) to get his head out of the sand and stop these deaths on our roads,” says Mr Kaine.
