Ultra-marathon runner Sal Powell says she knows her next marathon will be the hardest as she gears up for the Atacama Desert in Chile.

She revealed to 4BC Mornings host after a three-month break she’s excited to get back out there and to potentially become the first Australian to complete all five desert ultra-marathons.

“It’s {the Atacama Desert] incredibly beautiful, magical but also hard and the altitude is going to be the problem,” she said.
