‘Vandalism for vandalism sake’: Beloved fish and chip shop destroyed for third time

Much-loved fish and chip shop, the Happy Fryer in Daisy Hill has been hit by vandals for the third time in 18 months, this time causing around $30,000 in damage.

Vandals shattered glass, destroyed equipment, and in a truly senseless act, killed their pet fish.

One of the hardworking owners, Trevor Hayes told Peter Fegan on 4BC Breakfast, “It was vandalism for vandalism sake. Every window, every piece of glass in the place, right down to our pet fish tank was destroyed.”
