V’landys confident the NRL season will continue
Chair of the ARL Commission Peter V’landys is confident the NRL Season won’t be affected following the latest Sydney outbreak.
He has told The Continuous Call Team that the NRL Bubble will proceed with Level 3 restrictions, allowing the competition to continue.
The boss of the NRL does however concede that the current outbreak is more difficult to handle compared to last year’s initial outbreak because of how quickly the Delta variant of the virus spreads.
Mr V’landys suggested that some teams may be relocated to ensure the Season isn’t put on hold.
He says the NRL are “working hard to find every available weapon to avoid the competition being affected”.
Clean and dirty zones will come into force during State of Origin Game II tomorrow night as a precautionary measure.
Additionally, the NSW Blues players and staff who have been in Sydney in the past 14 days are all being tested for COVID-19.
Chair of the ARL Commission, Peter V’landys caught up with The Continuous Call Team to discuss how the latest outbreak may impact the NRL.
