“We need to return to common sense” – Nationals Leader David Littleproud

It’s been an interesting week in politics – The entire Australian mainland is now governed by the Labor Party, and South Australia has become the first jurisdiction in Australia to legislate an indigenous voice to parliament.

South Australian Premier Peter Malinauskas declared it the most powerful show of respect towards Australia’s First Nations people. His government’s legislation passed the House of Assembly in a special sitting on Sunday. and was immediately proclaimed by governor Frances Adamson in a rare public ceremony in front of a cheering crowd who gathered to watch the proceedings outside parliament house in Adelaide.

So far, The Nationals are the only major party to formally oppose the Voice, Luke chats with their federal leader David Littleproud to pick his brains on the upcoming referendum and the election result in NSW.
