What does it mean to be wise?

Mike Jeffreys

Mike speaks with Dr. Marny Lishman, Health & Community Psychologist and author of Burnout to Brilliant, who explains that wisdom involves understanding life and people, being mindful of thoughts and feelings, and making smart, empathetic decisions in tough situations.

The wisest people are empathetic, patient, and open-minded, using their experiences to view things from different perspectives, she says.

Wisdom isn’t about having all the answers or avoiding mistakes but knowing how to apply what you’ve learned meaningfully.

How can we use the wisdom from our challenges to help ourselves and others?   And what does wisdom mean to you?
