Why a new study suggests parents really do know best

A new study appears to support the idea parents really do know best.

Lead researcher from Monash University’s school of clinical sciences, Dr Erin Mills, says parents kept telling doctors they knew something had been wrong with their child before the doctors had noticed any deterioration.

“Our data now proves what we all already knew, which is that parents are the experts in their child and parents could pick up deterioration better than our vital signs,” she told Sofie Formica.
