Police have been cracking down on hoons along Teewah Beach, while also kicking out 80 campers who gathered for a “beach doof” party and issuing dozens of fines for dangerous and reckless driving.

Officers were also called out to three crashes, where alcohol was a factor.

In one crash, a car ended up rolling while the driver allegedly performed doughnuts.

Senior sergeant Shane Panoho, who heads the Sunshine Coast Highway Patrol, said fellow campers were handing over videos to police to catch the hoons.

“The conduct of the people in that area was such that it warranted having these people’s permits withdrawn and asking them to leave the beach,” he told Neil Breen.

He said there was also a gathering of people for a “beach doof” event, where they were allegedly drinking and “carrying on” while families were holidaying.
